Lesson Explanation
Important question words are o que (what), onde (where), quando (when), por que (why), como (how), and quanto (how much).
Portuguese negation is simple: place não before the verb: Não entendo, Ela não mora aqui. Do not place it after the verb as English sometimes does.
Por que is used in a question; porque gives an answer: Por que você estuda? Porque gosto.
