To insert an image: Insert tab → Pictures, choosing from your device or online sources. Once inserted, dragging any of the four corner handles resizes the image while keeping its original width-to-height ratio (aspect ratio) intact.
A genuinely important, common mistake: dragging one of the side or top/bottom handles instead of a corner handle stretches the image in just one dimension, distorting it — people appear squeezed or stretched, straight lines look bent. This is a real, visible quality problem, not just a minor technical detail, and it happens specifically because side/edge handles resize only one dimension independently, while corner handles resize both dimensions together, preserving the original proportions.
